Job Title:
Maintenance Supervisor Job Description The Maintenance Supervisor directs and coordinates all maintenance operations to support efficient plant production in an automotive manufacturing environment. This role oversees group leaders and maintenance technicians, including HVAC technicians, to ensure equipment reliability, adherence to safety standards, and effective preventive maintenance practices. Responsibilities Direct the daily activities of group leaders, maintenance technicians, and HVAC maintenance technicians to support plant operations in a timely and efficient manner. Ensure full compliance with all departmental and plant-wide safety requirements, policies, and procedures. Maintain 5S standards for assigned areas and equipment, promoting a clean, organized, and efficient work environment. Complete required departmental paperwork accurately and on time, using computer software and the maintenance work order system. Coordinate maintenance services with other departments and follow up to ensure timely completion of work. Maintain adherence to company policies, safety standards, and good housekeeping practices across the maintenance department. Ensure that tools and equipment are properly maintained and that all preventive maintenance is performed to support efficient operations. Promote efficient and economical use of materials, improve maintenance methods, and eliminate wasteful practices. Administer employee performance evaluations and make recommendations for wage increases based on performance. Establish and maintain positive employee relations while applying appropriate and fair disciplinary measures when required. Support the implementation, achievement, and ongoing maintenance of Quality and Environmental Policies and Procedures. Provide technical guidance in industrial maintenance, including mechanical and electrical systems, hydraulics, pneumatics, and troubleshooting. Monitor maintenance activities to minimize downtime and support continuous improvement of equipment reliability. Essential Skills High school diploma or GED. Additional specialized education or training in maintenance, industrial technology, or a related field. At least 1 year of maintenance supervision experience. Supervisory experience in an industrial or manufacturing environment. Hands-on experience in industrial maintenance, including both mechanical and electrical systems. Proficiency in preventive maintenance (PM) planning and execution. Strong troubleshooting skills for mechanical, electrical, and industrial equipment issues. Knowledge of hydraulics and pneumatics. Ability to use computer software and a maintenance work order system for planning, tracking, and documentation. Excellent interpersonal skills, with the ability to lead, coach, and communicate effectively with diverse maintenance teams. Ability to interpret and apply company policies, safety standards, and quality and environmental procedures. Demonstrated ability to maintain 5S standards and good housekeeping practices. Additional Skills & Qualifications Experience supervising maintenance technicians in a manufacturing setting. Background in electrical maintenance within an industrial environment. Experience working in an automotive manufacturing facility is a strong plus. Familiarity with maintenance supervision best practices, including performance management and disciplinary processes. Ability to identify and implement improvements to maintenance methods and processes. Strong organizational skills for managing multiple maintenance tasks and priorities. Comfort working cross-functionally with production and other departments to coordinate maintenance activities. Why Work Here? The facility emphasizes safety, cleanliness, and 5S organization, with strong housekeeping expectations throughout the plant. Job Type & Location This is a Permanent position based out of Madison, MS. Pay and Benefits The pay range for this position is $70000.00 - $90000.00/yr. benefits 401K medical dental Workplace Type This is a fully onsite position in Madison,MS.
