Overview Maintenance department manager duties include mechanic and maintenance and staff supervision. The primary focus of this position is management of the transit vehicle fleet, which includes diesel transit buses, ADA accessible vans and support vehicles. Compliance with all vehicle and facility safety and operational requirements is a priority. Responsibilities Direct supervision of mechanics and maintenance department employees. Vehicle fleet management, inventory control, and purchasing. Technical tasks related to vehicle maintenance duties including inspection of completed work, instructing and assisting staff as needed. Oversight of building maintenance, including DEQ compliance inspections and oversight. Coordinating necessary repairs with other members of management and working with vendors as needed to ensure facilities are maintained in proper working condition. Other duties as assigned.

Education / Experience

High School diploma or equivalent supplemented by specialized training or relevant experience in vehicle maintenance or a related field. Three years of increasingly responsible automotive and equipment maintenance and repair experience, including responsibility for electronic record keeping, scheduling work priorities and purchasing. Three years lead, supervisory or management experience.

Pay:

$66,000.00 - $72,000.00 per year
