JOB SUMMARY NOC
has an immediate opening for a Repair & Maintenance (R&M) Assistant Manager. In this position, you will work with a small team to make sure that NOC facilities and grounds are maintained and meet the needs of NOC guests and staff at all campus locations and staff housing properties. Being a service department, a positive attitude to guests, contract service providers and staff is important to remaining good rapport and service. This is a full-time, benefits eligible position and reports to the R&M Manager. We are looking for qualified applicants to join our team. Responsibilities Perform maintenance and repairs on facilities and equipment to keep them in good working order Work on long-term expansion or major capital projects Inspect and maintain selected assigned facilities Perform grounds maintenance Maintain and upkeep all tools, construction, and grounds keeping equipment Responsible for vehicles and equipment as designated Inform R&M Manager of any concerns or issues with facilities, grounds, equipment or vehicles Manage assigned staff to work on projects to meet department requirements Other duties as assigned Qualifications
REQUIRED
Skill set to include; electric, plumbing, construction and carpentry Working knowledge of tools and procedures related to all maintenance and construction trade Available for 'on-call' shifts to include weekends and holidays Valid Driver s License with a clean driving record
PREFERRED
Previous management experience HVAC experience Applicants must: Have a working knowledge of recycling products and processes Be able to work with a variety of personalities to accomplish the desired outcome, to include guests, staff and subcontractors Responsible, professional and trustworthy Self-motivated to sustain productive work, with at times, little supervision Physical Requirements and Environment Ability to work in all weather conditions (hot, cold, wind, rain) Must be able to bend, stoop, twist Must be able to frequently lift large and heavy items Must be able to climb ladders Must be able to be on your feet for long periods of time The above noted job description is not intended to describe, in detail, the multitude of tasks that may be assigned but rather to provide a general sense of the responsibilities and expectations of this position.
