Position:
The Night Shift Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for planning, coordinating, supervising, and evaluating all night shift maintenance operations for university academic, residential, administrative, and support facilities. The position provides direct supervision of skilled trades personnel performing mechanical, electrical, plumbing, HVAC, building maintenance, carpentry, locksmith, painting, and general maintenance activities. This position ensures facilities remain safe, functional, and operational while minimizing disruptions to campus operations by performing planned maintenance, emergency repairs, preventive maintenance, and after-hours customer service.
Minimum Education and Experience Requirements:
High school diploma or equivalency and two (2) years of experience in trade(s) areas assigned; or equivalent combination of training and experience. A valid driver's license. Must have and maintain an acceptable driving record, preferably five or more years of driving experience with no more than one minor at fault accident or violation in the past three years.
Knowledge skills and abilities:
Thorough knowledge of: HVAC systems Electrical systems Plumbing systems Mechanical equipment Preventive maintenance practices Building maintenance operations Commercial building systems Residential maintenance operations Building Automation Systems CMMS software (such as WebTMA) Blueprint and construction document interpretation State Building Codes OSHA regulations Fire and Life Safety systems
Preferred Qualifications:
Ten (10) or more years of facilities maintenance experience. Experience in higher education facilities operations. Experience using WebTMA or similar CMMS software. Knowledge of APPA facilities maintenance standards. OSHA 30-Hour Certification. Trade licenses or certifications in HVAC, Electrical, Plumbing, or Mechanical Systems.
