The Greens at Hickory Join Our Team The Greens at Hickory is seeking a highly skilled and experienced Maintenance Director to lead our maintenance department and ensure the smooth operation of our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. As a key member of our leadership team, you will play a critical role in maintaining a safe, comfortable, and well-maintained environment for our residents, staff, and visitors. Job Summary As the Maintenance Director , you will be responsible for overseeing the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department, implementing and managing preventative maintenance programs, and maintaining HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems. You will also ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, and state and federal regulations, conduct routine inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment, and coordinate and supervise outside contractors and vendors. Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations of the maintenance department Implement and manage preventative maintenance programs Maintain HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and mechanical systems Ensure compliance with Life Safety Code, OSHA, and state and federal regulations Conduct routine inspections of the building, grounds, and equipment Coordinate and supervise outside contractors and vendors Respond quickly to urgent maintenance issues Assist during state surveys and inspections Develop and complete plans of correction when needed Manage departmental inventory, budgets, and purchasing Requirements Minimum of 2 years of maintenance leadership experience Healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience strongly preferred Working knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems Familiarity with life safety and regulatory compliance requirements Strong troubleshooting and problem-solving skills Excellent organizational and communication abilities Ability to lead by example and work collaboratively with all departments What We Offer Competitive pay based on experience Medical, Dental, and Vision Insurance 401(k) with company participation Paid Time Off (PTO) Same-Day Pay Available Supportive leadership team Great Place to Work Certified organization Apply Today If you have a strong background in maintenance leadership and are passionate about providing exceptional care to our residents, we encourage you to apply for this exciting opportunity.
