In this pivotal role, you will oversee daily shop activities, coordinate a team of skilled technicians, and ensure the highest standards of vehicle performance and safety. Your expertise will drive efficiency, quality workmanship, and customer satisfaction across a broad range of heavy-duty diesel trucks and trailers. The most important skill for this role is diagnostics on commercial vehicles, engine and chassis. This is an exciting opportunity for a motivated leader with a passion for diagnostics, teaching and leadership. Base Pay is $80k per year, with potential for another $10k in bonuses paid monthly. Duties Diagnostics for a wide range of on highway equipment. Class 2-8. Mostly medium and heavy duty diesel, some gas engines, some trailers. All Commercial equipment. Teach and train other mechanics in the shop. Manage work flow, ensuring quality workmanship while meeting efficiency goals. Quality control, checking behind technicians on every service order completed. Responsible for cleanliness, organization and safety of the shop Experience Proven dealership experience or extensive background in heavy truck repair and diesel mechanics. Demonstrated ability to read schematics and technical manuals related to automotive electrical systems and mechanical systems repair. Hands-on experience with fabrication techniques, welding, equipment assembly, and equipment maintenance. Strong knowledge of vehicle systems including transmissions, hydraulics, suspension systems, air brakes, aftertreatment, alignment procedures, tire service, and HVAC systems. Experience managing a team of service technicians or mechanics in a fast-paced environment; excellent customer service skills are essential.
