Service Manager

Job Description

We are seeking an experienced and highly organized Service Manager to lead our day-to-day service operations. This role serves as the critical link between the office staff, field technicians, and customers, ensuring seamless communication, efficient operations, and exceptional customer service. The ideal candidate is a hands-on leader who thrives in a fast-paced environment, has strong operational and financial acumen, and is committed to building a high-performing service team. Key Responsibilities Manage the daily operations of the service department and field technicians. Coordinate scheduling, dispatching, and technician workflow to maximize efficiency and productivity. Serve as the primary point of contact for escalated customer concerns and ensure timely resolution. Maintain strong communication between office personnel, field technicians, and customers. Monitor field operations to ensure quality workmanship, OSHA compliant, and adherence to company standards. Coach, mentor, and support technicians to improve performance and customer satisfaction. Track service metrics, labor efficiency, and operational performance. Assist in budgeting, cost control, and maintaining the financial health of the service department. Review job profitability and recommend operational improvements. Ensure accurate documentation, invoicing, and completion of service work. Develop and implement processes that improve efficiency and customer experience. Work closely with company leadership to achieve operational and financial goals. Qualifications 5+ years of experience in service management, complemented by strong hands-on field experience. Proven experience managing technicians in a service-based industry. Strong customer service and conflict resolution skills. Excellent leadership, communication, and organizational abilities. Experience coordinating between office staff, field personnel, and customers. Ability to analyze operational and financial performance. Proficiency with scheduling, dispatching, and service management software. Valid driver's license. Preferred Qualifications Experience/License in HVAC, plumbing, electrical, construction, mechanical services, or a similar field service industry. Strong understanding of budgeting, job costing, and financial reporting. Demonstrated success improving operational efficiency and team performance.
