Job Description
Branch Manager - Commercial Grounds Maintenance Coastal Carolina's Region Position Overview The Commercial Grounds Maintenance (CGM) Branch Manager is responsible for the overall planning and performance of a Bland Landscaping Company Commercial Grounds Maintenance Branch. This position oversees various administrative and management functions, directly supporting roles such as Account Managers, Production Managers, Enhancement Managers, Landscape Designers, and Contract Estimators. The CGM Branch Manager must be an effective leader, possess a strong work ethic, inspire others, and have a deep understanding of turf, horticultural practices, and agri-business operations. Other duties may be required as directed by the Regional Director or Vice President. Responsibilities Including but Not Limited to: Management Implement all company policies and procedures as they relate to CRM, administration, enhancement design, installation, and CGM production teams. Balance the delivery of high-quality work through Account Managers and Production Managers with branch profitability, utilizing key reporting tools such as KPI reports. Develop team members (Levels II-VI) through training and coaching, with support from the Regional Director. Foster strong team cohesion within the branch. Facilitate bi-weekly branch meetings using a structured agenda submitted to the executive team. Horticulture Implement and supervise all aspects of horticulture on job sites through Account Manager and Production Managers. Continually expand horticultural knowledge through ongoing education and by networking with industry leaders. Administration and Accounting Oversee purchasing, invoicing, inventory, billing, and collections for the branch. Review open work order reports and ensure proper closeouts. Measure, record, and submit monthly branch inventory to the Controller. Manage budgeting and cost controls for the branch. Utilize company systems to forecast and effectively communicate labor and material budgets to guide production. Act with initiative to maintain the integrity of data provided to the accounting system (BOSSLM mobile timesheets, inventory, and work orders). Work with the Regional Director, Operations Manager, and Production Managers to manage equipment inventory and ensure accurate record-keeping. Ensure accounting policies and procedures are followed consistently. Ensure all operations-related entries are made using BOSSLM for effective communication, scheduling, and tracking of job issues.
