Description:
SUMMARY Assist the service manager in striving to return a satisfactory profit on dealer capital invested while insuring a consistently high level of employee productivity. Accomplish these objectives through the use of proper staff utilization, pricing, DMS system function/reporting, advertising and adherence to facility safety practices.
Job Description:
The Shop Foreman will oversee the daily activities and the employees of the service department and also be responsible for: Enforcing with the help of the service manager all company policies and procedures Maintaining a safe work environment Assisting service manager in maintaining focus on service department budget goals and other objectives for the department Help service manager in controlling operating expenses Direct the day-to-day activities of the service department employees Produces Estimates for charges necessary for repairs for customers Assisting the service manager in training and evaluating service department employees Helps ensure that a high-quality level of service is provided to our entire customer base. Provides technical assistance to service department employees Enforces safety requirements, including but not limited to forklift training and operation and use of personal protective equipment Understands, keeps abreast of, and complies with federal, state and local regulations that may affect our procedures in the service department. Maintains professional appearance and ensures that the service department employees present a professional appearance to the public. Carries out disciplinary actions as needed to service department employees. Reviews monthly productivity results individually with service department employees Conducts department safety inspection on a monthly basis. Conducts department meeting with all service department employees monthly Assist in hiring of new personnel as needed
Requirements:
Qualifications:
High School Diploma or GED Minimum two years experience as a technician or customer service representative and/or equivalent experience in a service-related industry. Possess strong managerial and organizational skills Excellent Communication skills both oral and written Must be committed to 100% customer satisfaction Must have the ability to motivate subordinate employees, and be involved in their career development Must have an enthusiasm for training Must be able to manage customer expectations, lead direct reports and be flexible with both while meeting objectives. Excellent computer skills and familiarity with all Microsoft Office products and software.
