Job Description
Overview We are seeking a dynamic and highly skilled Maintenance Superintendent to lead our maintenance operations. In this pivotal role, you will oversee the maintenance and compliance of the water, sewer, electrical, streets, park/lawn, city owned buildings, and machinery. Your leadership will ensure that all equipment and infrastructure operate efficiently, safely, and reliably, supporting all county, state, and federal regulations. This position will also supervise all full-time and part-time maintenance employees. Duties Lead and supervise facilities maintenance, ensuring adherence to safety regulations and maintenance repair procedures. Develop and implement preventive maintenance programs for mechanical systems, electrical systems, sewer and water systems. Ensure compliance with county, state, and federal standards and safety regulations through regular inspections and safety training sessions. Maintain detailed records of maintenance activities, inspections, repairs, and parts inventory to support operational efficiency. Work with the Village Board of Trustees to ensure that village operations are running efficiently and effectively. Qualifications Proven management experience. Strong mechanical, electrical, and/or plumbing knowledge. Demonstrated project management skills with the ability to coordinate multiple tasks simultaneously. Excellent communication skills for team leadership and coordination with cross-functional departments. Clean driving record, CDL is a plus.
