Job Description
The Granite YMCA is seeking a skilled and dedicated facilities professional to join our dynamic and purposeful overnight camp team as the Property and Maintenance Director at YMCA Camp Mi-Te-Na in Alton, NH. Under the general direction of the Executive Camp Director, the Property and Maintenance Director is responsible for maintaining all buildings and grounds on the camp property. This year-round role ensures our camp property is safe and running smoothly for the campers and staff who live on site during the summer months. What You Will Do Lead the seasonal maintenance team Maintain the security of the camp grounds and facilities year-round Repair, maintain, and upgrade the facilities and vehicles of camp as needed Maintain positive relationships with local contractors (ie: gas, electric, septic, builders, flooring) Assist with the planning of facility upgrades and capital improvements Complete all winter projects as collectively determined with the Executive Camp Director Develop and execute a camp maintenance plan Be knowledgeable of all local, state and federal standards. Use preventative strategies to ensure the safety of the camp grounds Maintain a positive relationship with local fire, police and emergency services Work collaboratively with the Foss Property and Maintenance Director as well as other Facilities Directors within The Granite YMCA Qualifications Highschool Diploma or GED equivalent General knowledge and understanding in the following trades: plumbing, electrical, mechanical, carpentry Ability to develop positive, authentic relationships with people from different backgrounds.
