While most of our work is in NYC, we also have jobs in Northern NJ. Candidates should be available to work in NJ, NYC, or both, depending on project needs. We are looking for an experienced construction site supervisor to plan and supervise construction projects from start to finish. You will organize and oversee construction and safety procedures and ensure they are completed in a timely and efficient manner. An excellent candidate must be well-versed in all construction methodologies and procedures and able to coordinate a team of subcontractors of different disciplines to achieve the best results. The ideal candidate will have an analytical mind and great organizational skills. We are looking for somone who will 'get their hands dirty' on pitching in on smaller jobs. Experience as a Super on a restaurant build is a must. Effective written communication - daily reports, look aheads, logistics plans, emails, etc. - is also a must. Responsibilities Daily management of large scale fast track interior renovation projects Precise scheduling of all daily access and material deliveries to the job site Monitor the subcontractor's staff via manpower reports and daily progress Daily coordination of all subcontractors Implement and enforce the company's safety policies, site specific safety programs, and promote a safety culture on the jobsite at all times Demonstrated leadership skills and strategies for organizing all scopes, people, material, tools and equipment to manage the project successfully Track all inspections throughout the progress of the job Hold weekly subcontractor meetings and distribute thorough meeting minutes Perform day to day contract administration including: on-site change orders, review of contractor's associated costs, accurately representing and understanding costs Effectively communicate the scope of change order to client Prevent fines and interruptions by complying with, and enforcing building and other regulatory codes Maintain safe, secure, and healthy work environment by following and enforcing standards and procedures; complying with regulations Update and maintain construction schedule Manages onsite activities and administers contractual activities of subcontractors and vendors.
