Responsibilities Lead and motivate the service team, including technicians and service advisors, to achieve high performance standards. Oversee the entire service process from customer check-in to vehicle delivery, ensuring timely and accurate repairs. Utilize estimating software and computer-aided vehicle damage estimating tools to prepare detailed repair estimates. Manage daily workflow, prioritize repairs, and allocate resources efficiently to maximize productivity. Upsell additional services and maintenance opportunities by effectively communicating benefits to customers. Maintain thorough knowledge of automotive diagnostics, mechanical repairs, collision repair, transmissions, suspension systems, brake repair, tire services, shocks & struts, oil changes, and other vehicle maintenance tasks. Ensure compliance with dealership policies, safety standards, and industry regulations while delivering outstanding customer service. Handle cash transactions accurately and maintain detailed service writing records. Foster strong client communication by explaining repair needs clearly and building lasting customer relationships. Monitor technician performance, provide coaching opportunities, and support ongoing training initiatives. Experience Proven experience in auto service management or dealership service departments with a solid understanding of automotive repair processes. Hands-on mechanic experience with automotive diagnostics, mechanical knowledge, and familiarity with auto estimating software. Demonstrated success in upselling services and increasing revenue through effective sales techniques. Strong background in automotive repair specialties such as collision repair, transmissions, suspension work, brake systems, tire services, shocks & struts, oil changes, and general vehicle maintenance. Excellent customer service skills with the ability to communicate technical information clearly to clients. Experience managing a team of service technicians or mechanics in a fast-paced environment.
