Job Description
Job Opening - Full-Time, Year-round Chief Engineer/Director of Operations Cape May County high rise building is accepting applications for a year-round chief engineer / director of operations. Position requires minimum 2-years maintenance supervisory experience, preferably with high rise mechanical, plumbing and fire defense systems. Familiarity with elevators and HVAC systems required. Successful applicants must be reliable, skilled, and personable. Position combines leadership in supervising staff and coordinating annual operation with direct involvement in maintenance tasks ensuring the facility is well-maintained, safe, and clean. Key responsibilities include planning, coordination and oversee building and property improvement projects. Ensuring duties are completed efficiently. Work with Operations staff for execution of maintenance, repair and custodial services. Monitor project timelines and quality of work. Communicate updates to management. Position is hands-on, including performing and/or training staff to diagnose and perform maintenance and repairs.
Duties include daily property inspections and ensuring smooth operation of facility and essential building systems and equipment. Position is 5-days per week, with schedule to be determined and coordinated with management. Weekends required during summer months. Applications being accepted through September 30,2026.
