In this vital role, you will operate tractor-trailers, including refrigerated, flatbed, and tanker trucks, ensuring timely and safe transportation of goods. Your expertise in commercial truck driving, adherence to safety regulations, and ability to navigate using GPS will drive our success. This position offers an exciting opportunity to be on the front lines of logistics, delivering essential freight while enjoying the thrill of over-the-road (OTR) routes and complex cargo handling. Duties Safely operate tractor-trailers with manual transmission across long-distance OTR routes, adhering strictly to FMCSA (Federal Motor Carrier Safety Administration) and DOT (Department of Transportation) regulations. Transport refrigerated, flatbed, tanker, or hazardous materials cargo while ensuring compliance with hazardous materials regulations and handling dangerous goods responsibly. Use GPS navigation systems to plan optimal routes for timely deliveries and efficient route driving. Load and unload freight manually or with equipment, managing logistics cargo handling for various types of freight including automobile transportation and hazardous goods. Conduct pre-trip and post-trip inspections to ensure vehicle safety, including checking load securement, truck loading/unloading procedures, and compliance with safety standards. Maintain detailed logs of driving hours, delivery documentation, and incident reports in accordance with DOT regulations. Communicate effectively with dispatch teams to coordinate delivery schedules and address any route or cargo issues promptly. Experience Valid CDL A license with a clean driving record; experience operating tractor-trailers in a commercial setting preferred. Proven experience in delivery driving, including route driving for freight transportation across multiple states or regions. Familiarity with refrigerated trailers, flatbeds, tankers, or hazardous materials transportation is highly desirable. Knowledge of FMCSA regulations, hazardous materials regulations, and DOT compliance standards is essential. Hands-on experience with manual handling, truck loading/unloading procedures, and logistics cargo handling. Ability to operate GPS navigation systems confidently and adapt to changing routes or delivery requirements. Prior experience in over-the-road (OTR) driving routes that require long hours on the road while maintaining safety and professionalism.
