What they do
A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

$80,000 - $85,000 per yearshift: Firstwork hours: 8 AM - 4PMeducation:
High SchoolResponsibilitiesMaintenance Planning & Scheduling- Coordinate daily, weekly, and monthly PM schedules to maximize labor and minimize production downtime.
- Prioritize work orders based on equipment criticality, safety, and available resources.
- Build work packages detailing procedures, labor, parts, tools, and safety protocols. CMMS Administration
- Manage PM schedules, equipment records, and asset histories within the CMMS.
- Adjust task lists and PM frequencies using reliability data and equipment performance.
- Generate reports to track PM compliance, work order backlogs, and key performance metrics. Parts & Inventory Management
- Collaborate with Purchasing to identify, procure, and stage parts prior to scheduling work.
- Maintain critical spare parts inventories to prevent unexpected equipment downtime.
- Oversee tool crib operations and staff to ensure accurate issuing, auditing, and tool care. Vendor & Service Coordination
- Schedule external contractors and equipment vendors for repairs, PMs, and facility inspections.
- Organize technical training sessions for maintenance staff on new machinery and systems.
- Manage vendor service timetables to guarantee timely work execution. Cross-Functional Collaboration
- Partner with Production and Maintenance Supervisors to align schedules and resolve conflicts.
- Coordinate with Warehouse and Machine Shop teams to verify resource readiness before job launch.
