You'll work both independently and collaboratively with other team members to ensure smooth operations. Also, the Maintenance Supervisor has the responsibility of an efficient and effective maintenance management program. This includes personnel training, safety programs, cost control and preventive maintenance resulting in optimum availability and efficiency of plant equipment.

Note:

This is a hands-on position .

Key Responsibilities:

Administer and/or implement a sound preventive maintenance program with appropriate documentation and record keeping Establishes and maintains an accident-free work environment. Participates in monthly plant safety meetings and conducts monthly safety inspections as directed. Ensures that plant machinery and equipment is in compliance with established company, OSHA, and EPA policies and requirements. Maintains the plant and equipment at the appropriate level to provide for consistent, efficient, and continual operation. Continuously evaluates and controls the cost of repair and maintenance expenditures. Maintains and or develops a maintenance cost system to track repairs by individual pieces of equipment as well as total equipment in a specific category. Assists in the selection and installation of replacement or new equipment. Recommends to his/her superior repair and maintenance budgets and capital budget items. Ensures that housekeeping in the maintenance shop, other maintenance work areas, and areas worked in are in compliance with company policy. May be required to provide basic tools. Personnel in his/her department are responsible for all company and personnel tools used. Other duties as assigned by supervisor.

Qualifications:

A high school degree or equivalent is required Must have a background in industrial maintenance including knowledge of pneumatic, hydraulic, and mechanical systems. Must have analytical problem-solving skills. Must have good verbal communication skills, written communication skills via handwritten and typed correspondence and work well with co-workers. Must be able to operate a computer and basic software - Excel, Word, Email, etc.

Physical Requirements:

Must be in good physical condition, capable of lifting up to 100 lbs, and able to climb ladders and stairs. Willingness to wear safety gear as required (respirators, safety glasses, etc.). Comfortable working in an industrial environment with potential exposure to various materials. Must have good vision and hearing (corrected if necessary). Cannot be colorblind.

Working Conditions:

This role may require overtime and work on Saturdays during peak seasons. Expect a dynamic work environment, with varying demands and conditions.
