Job Description

Studio Supervisor (studio maintenance and operations focus)
Location:
Larchmont, NY (1 candidate needed per location)
Position Type:
Part-Time (20-25 hours/week)
Salary:
$26,000
  • 32,000/year based on experience
Commitment:
Minimum 1-year commitment required About The Tiny Mess Club Created by educators and moms, The Tiny Mess Club brings hands-on sensory play to life in a clean, vibrant, and welcoming environment. Every detail in our studios—from custom sensory stations to daily operations—is crafted with care. As we expand across Pleasantville and Larchmont, we are seeking proactive, detail-oriented individuals who take pride in maintaining our high standards and supporting our studio community. Role Overview We are seeking two proactive, high-energy, and exceptionally detail-oriented Studio Supervisors—one dedicated to our Pleasantville location and one for our Larchmont location. In this role, a majority of your time will be dedicated to hands-on studio cleaning, organizing, and physical resets. You are the backbone of our daily environment—ensuring our space stays spotlessly clean, immaculately organized, and safe for young families. Alongside space upkeep, you will handle staff and supply oversight, customer hospitality, and light administrative support, with the flexibility to cover shifts at either location as needed. Key Responsibilities Deep Cleaning, Sanitizing & Studio Resets (Core Focus): Proactively step into the space to tackle high-level cleaning that goes beyond daily maintenance. You will deep clean hard-to-reach crevices and corners, address wear-and-tear from daily play, and maintain an intuitive sense for what needs immediate tidying versus what requires a routine deep-clean schedule—ensuring the entire studio remains immaculate and hygienic.
Organization & Inventory Control:
Maintain an eagle eye for studio organization. Systematically sort materials, restock supplies, pack away seasonal items, and keep storage areas, shelves, and backrooms impeccably tidy and easy for staff to navigate.
Facility Upkeep & Minor Repairs:
Spot what needs fixing before anyone else does. Assemble new equipment, perform basic minor repairs, address surface wear-and-tear, and ensure a safe, pristine, and beautiful environment.
Staff Onboarding & Team Support:
Model and train studio team members on our rigorous standards for cleanliness, safety guidelines, station setup, and efficiency during transitions. Step in to support team members during high-volume sessions or weekend events as needed.
Customer Hospitality & On-Site Support:
Serve as a warm, welcoming presence during active sessions. Assist parents and caregivers, step in during high-volume class transitions or weekend events, and respond to general studio emails and customer inquiries as needed.
Requirements & Qualifications Loves Cleaning & Organizing:
You get genuine satisfaction from taking a messy, high-energy space and making it spotless, organized, and refreshed.
High Stamina & Physically Active:
You prefer being on your feet and moving. Comfortable lifting up to 50 lbs, bending, scrubbing, and carrying heavy tubs/props throughout your shift.
Detail-Oriented & Self-Motivated:
You notice the small details that others miss (dust, misplaced toys, smudges) and take initiative without needing step-by-step supervision.
Fast-Paced & Efficient:
You work quickly under time constraints to reset whole rooms between back-to-back studio sessions.
Handy & Resourceful:
Comfortable assembling furniture, using basic tools, and fixing minor studio issues independently.
Tech-Savvy & Communication:
Reliable smartphone capable of downloading team communication/scheduling apps and handling basic email support.
Transportation & Flexibility:
Must have a reliable personal vehicle and willingness to travel between/cover shifts at both our Pleasantville and Larchmont studio locations as business needs arise.
Commitment:
Looking for a long-term fit with a minimum 1-year commitment. Schedule This position operates on a bi-weekly rotating schedule. You will alternate between Week A and Week B every other week to gain a balanced variety of experiences across different studio programs, sessions, and daily operations.
