Assistant Director of Maintenance Position Type:
Temporary Are you a hands-on maintenance professional who takes pride in creating a safe and comfortable environment for residents and staff? We are looking for a dependable Assistant Director of Maintenance to support the daily operations of our skilled nursing and rehabilitation center. What You'll Do as
Assistant Director of Maintenance:
Assist the Director of Maintenance with the day-to-day operations of the Maintenance Department. Perform preventative maintenance and routine repairs throughout the facility. Troubleshoot and repair electrical, plumbing, HVAC, mechanical, and building systems. Respond promptly to maintenance requests and emergency repairs. Conduct regular safety inspections and help ensure compliance with federal, state, local, and life safety regulations. Maintain facility equipment, resident rooms, common areas, and exterior grounds. Complete work orders and maintain accurate maintenance logs and preventative maintenance records. Assist with vendor coordination and oversee contracted maintenance services as needed. Participate in the facility's emergency preparedness program, including on-call responsibilities when required. Work collaboratively with all departments to provide a safe, clean, and welcoming environment for residents and staff. Qualifications for
Assistant Director of Maintenance:
Minimum of three (3) years of maintenance experience required; healthcare, skilled nursing, or long-term care experience strongly preferred. Knowledge of HVAC, plumbing, electrical, carpentry, painting, and general building maintenance. Ability to troubleshoot equipment and complete repairs efficiently. Strong organizational and communication skills. Ability to prioritize multiple tasks in a fast-paced environment. Valid driver's license. Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and perform physical work, including bending, climbing, standing, and walking for extended periods. Why Join Our Team?
