Updated 08/27/2026 Job Description Job Summary Summary To oversight base maintenance checks. Reporting to VP Engineering, He/she is primarily responsible for driving team to deliver timely completion of maintenance checks and rectifications in a base hangar. This will be inclusive of both maintenance checks in Singapore or overseas hangar. Base operations Lead team to oversight Aircraft Maintenance checks with all MROs(SIN and overseas). Maintain good relationship with MROs liaison and ensured checks preparations and progress are monitored. Forecast and escalate any issues that will delay checks to management and work with
MRO/ITM/FTM
lead to resolve. Ensure daily reports on progress of maintenance checks in base maintenance hangars Management of check delays / AOG situations and provide coordination with service partners and relevant departments for technical support, spares and manpower for daily operations, delays / AOG / Incidents / accidents. Conduct periodic audits of the MRO to ensure proper completion of maintenance works and accuracy of documentation Aircraft and Engine De-lease/Sale Management Develop a stagger plan for aircraft checks slot and engine maintenance as required to meet turn around time for lease return checks. Administer out of scope warranty claims on Scoot's aircraft fleet. Management of aircraft Lessor and MRO lead during checks to resolve issues and ensure timely delivery of aircraft return. To support Scoot's aircraft sales plan as required Cost Management To capture and monitor maintenance costs related to hangar activities. Verification and disputing of excessive financial charges that are incurred relating to aircraft maintenance, engine / component repair or overhaul during hangar maintenance activities. Managing spares requirement for line / base Technical Projects Work on continual improvement projects to bring about maintenance cost-savings and efficiency gain in workflow for hangar checks Job Requirements Preferably experienced License Aircraft Engineer (B1.1) with A320 and B787 type coverage; Experience in base maintenance work; Proficient with computer and Microsoft office software; Experience with fleet EIS support, lease and de-lease management; Good Interpersonal skills & Communication skills, both oral and written English.
