Job Description
The Aviation Facility Maintenance Manager manages the corporate aviation department's hangar facilities, office spaces, grounds, and support equipment - overseeing infrastructure and building systems through preventive and corrective maintenance, and as required by applicable regulations, standards, and municipal codes. This work entails both hands-on labor and contractor oversight. Working closely with flight operations, maintenance, corporate real estate, technology, vendors, and airport stakeholders, the Facilities Superintendent leads capital projects, construction, commissioning, ongoing maintenance activities, and workplace safety initiatives while promoting operational excellence, safety, reliability, and continuous improvement. 5 or more years working in an operational environment with oversight or managerial responsibilities in the stated duties for the role Knowledge of commercial electrical systems, heating, ventilating and cooling systems, fire suppression system maintenance along with ability to adapt quickly to meet the unique and changing demands of the facilities and sophisticated equipment used in maintaining our aircraft Appropriate technical skills and knowledge to complete required maintenance and inspections of building and operational equipment through direct, hands-on activities or through monitoring the work of others Demonstrative organizational skills, with attention to detail and a sense of pride in their work and appearance of our facility Written and verbal communication skills conducive to the stated responsibilities Employment eligibility to work with American Express in the U.S. is required as the company will not pursue visa sponsorship for these positions.
