Maintenance Manager - Syracuse, NY Our client, a leading packaging manufacturer, is looking to appoint an experienced Maintenance Manager to lead their maintenance function at their Syracuse, NY facility. This is an excellent opportunity for a hands-on leader with a strong maintenance background who is passionate about safety, reliability, continuous improvement, and developing high-performing teams. Key Responsibilities Lead and develop the maintenance team through coaching, training and performance management. Drive a strong safety culture and ensure compliance with OSHA and company standards. Manage preventative maintenance (PM) programs to maximize equipment uptime. Reduce downtime through root cause analysis and continuous improvement initiatives. Monitor maintenance KPIs and implement improvement plans. Manage maintenance budgets and departmental spending. Oversee troubleshooting, repairs and equipment reliability. Ensure all maintenance activities are accurately recorded within the CMMS. Support capital equipment projects from planning through implementation. Work closely with Production, Engineering and Operations to improve plant performance. Requirements Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Business, Management or a related field (or equivalent experience). 3+ years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in a manufacturing environment. Experience managing maintenance teams within a high-volume production facility. Strong knowledge of preventative maintenance and equipment reliability. Experience using CMMS systems. MRP/ERP experience. Proficient with Microsoft Office (Excel, Word and Outlook). Excellent communication, leadership and problem-solving skills. Strong analytical skills with the ability to drive continuous improvement.
