Posted 06/2026 Job Description Job Summary STS Technical Services is hiring a Supply Chain Group Leader to support manufacturing operations in Tonawanda, New York. This role is responsible for the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment while supporting production goals, quality standards, and continuous improvement initiatives within a unionized manufacturing environment. Position Overview As a Supply Chain Group Leader, you will play a hands on leadership role focused on team development, operational efficiency, and adherence to Global Manufacturing Systems processes. This position works closely with hourly team members, management, and union leadership to maintain safe, productive, and high quality operations. Key Responsibilities Ensure the effective use of personnel, materials, and equipment Participate in the training, development, and evaluation of hourly team members Support the development of highly effective teams Lead Global Manufacturing Systems processes and serve as a resource supporting launch and pilot activities in assigned areas Meet or exceed production cost and schedule requirements while maintaining quality standards Maintain awareness of quality standards and communicate departmental quality goals Leverage available resources to identify and resolve quality issues Build and maintain positive working relationships with employees, union representatives, and management Understand and consistently administer National and Local Agreements between the Company and the United Auto Workers Union Implement and follow systems designed to prevent recurrence of known issues Promote safe work practices and support objectives related to ergonomics, health and safety, and housekeeping Motivate, train, and develop employees using standardized methods to ensure effective job performance Ensure team members receive adequate Job Instruction Training Achieve production schedules and product requirements by applying lean manufacturing and synchronous manufacturing principles Focus on variation reduction, cost control, and productivity improvement Coach, teach, counsel, and mentor Group Leaders in these responsibilities About STS Technical Services STS Technical Services is the staffing arm of STS Aviation Group.
