JOB DESCRIPTION

Under the general direction of the General Manager, the Facility & Maintenance Supervisor organizes, monitors, and supervises facility maintenance operations. He has the overall responsibility for the repairs and maintenance of the plant, acting as the contact for emergency situations that affect the production facility and machineries. This position will coordinate outside contractors or vendors for various services.

COMPETENCIES

University Degree in an Engineering field, preferably Mechanical or Electrical 5 + years work experience in facilities management in similar plant environment including some lead supervisory experience Experience in planning maintenance operations Solid understanding of technical aspects of plumbing, carpentry, electrical systems, etc. Working knowledge of facilities machines and equipment Must be able to effectively communicate with all employees, contractors and vendors Self-starter and team player Must be organized and provide deliverables in support of any project plans

JOB DUTIES

Oversees and coordinates equipment breakdowns and repairs in the fields of machinery, electrical, heating, ventilation, air conditioning, plumbing, and other facility related maintenance work Receives and evaluates repair requests from line and staff personnel to determine if repairs should be performed in house or through a contracted repair service Manages employees that perform maintenance work Oversees the scheduling and performance of preventive, predictive and proactive maintenance Oversees annual and quarterly calibrations (e.g. boiler room, alarm system,…) Initiates, handles and coordinates construction projects, and other special projects, e.g. procurement of equipment, new buildings Selects and works with contractors and outside vendors Manages electrical abatement measures Creates/maintains plant layout (AutoCad) Implements and runs maintenance software Assist with the development of long term capital plans for facility improvement, repairs and financial planning Work closely with the Safety representative to comply with all standards and authority regulations Monitor and control supplies and equipment; order supplies and tools as necessary; prepare documents for equipment procurement; prepare specifications and contracts for contract services Manages the development and implementation of policies and procedures related to facilities maintenance Reviews all facility maintenance contracts/agreements and ensure terms and conditions are implemented. Performs other duties as required or assigned

Pay:

$60,000.00 - $80,000.00 per year
