Job Description
Job Overview We are seeking a dynamic and proactive Maintenance Supervisor to lead our maintenance team in ensuring the optimal operation and safety of our facilities and manufacturing equipment. This role offers an exciting opportunity to oversee industrial maintenance activities, manage maintenance projects, and implement preventive strategies that keep our operations running smoothly. As a key leader, you will lead site maintenance to maximize equipment reliability, safety, and regulatory compliance by directing troubleshooting and repairs, and executing a preventive maintenance program. Your expertise will drive efficiency, reduce downtime, and support our commitment to excellence in manufacturing environments. Responsibilities Understands, follows, and enforces all safety, health, quality, and company policies, procedures, and recognized practices. Works closely with Director of Operations/Facility Manager to coordinate priorities and to evaluate, train, and develop maintenance personnel. Diagnoses and corrects equipment issues using sound technical judgment; completes quality repairs; trains others in areas of expertise; documents changes; and escalates questionable parts or conditions. Accountable for maintenance of plant equipment and building systems (e.g., utilities, compressed air, water, electrical distribution, HVAC, hydraulics, pumps, and motors) and for coordinating external support for site infrastructure as needed. Provides direct supervision for the maintenance team; plans and assigns work; and initiates purchase requests for maintenance materials and services in accordance with purchasing procedures. Drives cost reduction through improved reliability and efficiency by keeping presses and secondary equipment in safe, optimal operating condition and minimizing unplanned downtime. Ensures equipment is operational and safe, with required guarding and safety devices in place; verifies task-specific PPE is available, maintained, and used correctly. Implements and enforces safe work practices for employees, contractors, and visitors, including proper permitting, lockout/tagout, and hazard controls. Supports site compliance with applicable local, state, and federal regulations by maintaining required programs, records, and readiness for inspections and audits. Preventive maintenance schedule compliance and work-order closure timeliness. Unplanned downtime, mean time to repair (MTTR), and repeat-failure reduction on critical assets. Safety performance in maintenance activities (LOTO/permit adherence, incident findings closed on time). Spare-parts availability and inventory controls (stockouts, turns, critical spares accuracy). Maintenance labor efficiency and cost control (overtime, contractor spend vs. plan). Requirements Proven management experience in facilities or industrial maintenance environments with supervisory responsibilities. Ability to maintain regular, predictable, and punctual attendance. Proficiency with computer applications (
Microsoft Office:
Excel, Word, Outlook) and accurate data entry. Strong verbal and written communication skills. Associate degree with technical training in plant engineering, industrial maintenance, or a related field (or equivalent experience). Three to five years of progressive maintenance experience, including at least two years in a supervisory role leading a multi-functional maintenance team. Working knowledge of project management principles and practices. Ability to read and interpret electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical prints and systems (ANSI symbols and standards). Knowledge of procurement processes and basic contract requirements. Sound knowledge of applicable health, safety, and environmental regulations. Experience with facility systems and operations in a manufacturing environment.Pay:
