Fabriweld Corporation is seeking a highly self-motivated, analytical, and autonomous Maintenance Manager to join our team in Norwalk, Ohio. In this role, you will oversee the functionality, repair, and smooth operation of our manufacturing facility's physical assets, processes, building resources, and industrial machinery. The ideal candidate will be an expert problem solver with a strong background in manufacturing facilities maintenance, industrial electrical systems (including 480V), and preventive maintenance modeling. You will work with a high degree of independence, reporting directly to the President while managing maintenance budgets and collaborating closely with cross-functional plant teams to minimize downtime and maximize safety.

Key Responsibilities:

Preventive & Predictive Maintenance:

Plan, implement, and optimize proactive, predictive, and corrective maintenance programs across the entire facility to reduce production downtime.

Daily Operations:

Oversee maintenance scheduling, technical repairs, and new equipment/facility installations.

Budgetary Management:

Direct and track maintenance department budgets and monitor operational/project expenses on a weekly or monthly basis.

Cross-Department Collaboration:

Partner directly with operations, safety, and production departments to address structural and mechanical maintenance demands efficiently.

Executive & Staff Communication:

Interface and communicate transparently with the CEO/Owner, President, and facility staff regarding infrastructure health and project timelines.

Regulatory Compliance:

Maintain rigorous enforcement of safety regulations and company policies for all maintenance activities.

Qualifications & Technical Skills Required:

Manufacturing Experience:

Proven professional experience and deep structural understanding of manufacturing or heavy-industrial facility maintenance is required.

Mechanical & Hydraulic Systems:

Strong background troubleshooting and working directly with industrial tools, heavy machinery, and hydraulic systems.

Electrical Proficiency:

Extensive practical skills in installing, inspecting, and maintaining industrial electrical power systems, including hands-on experience with 480-volt components and control system troubleshooting.

Schematics & Blueprints:

Deep familiarity reading, drafting, and interpreting complex structural blueprints and technical wiring schematics. Problem Solving & Attention to

Natural ability to identify potential mechanical bottlenecks and offer cost-effective, precise technical solutions under tight deadlines.

Communication:

Exceptional interpersonal, oral/written communication, and project-negotiation skills. Education & Certifications (Preferred): Bachelor's degree in Facility Management, Engineering, or a related industrial field is highly preferred. Active certification as a Construction Electrician is preferred.

Physical Requirements & Working Conditions:

Must be comfortable working in a dynamic shop-floor/manufacturing environment. Physical capability to sit, stand, balance, stoop, kneel, walk, and handle tools/controls comfortably throughout the shift. Ability to occasionally lift and move components weighing up to 40 lbs. Flexibility with scheduling; shift hours are dictated by production workload and will occasionally require exceeding a typical 40-hour work week (authorized overtime is compensated). Occasional travel may be required to support organizational objectives.
