Back to jobs list Full Time Maintenance Supervisor St. Anthony of Padua Parish - Parma Maintenance Supervisor St. Anthony of Padua Parish & School - Parma, Ohio St. Anthony of Padua Parish is seeking a skilled, dependable, and service-oriented Maintenance Supervisor to oversee the maintenance, repair, and operation of our parish, school, and rectory facilities. This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for ensuring our buildings and grounds remain safe, welcoming, and well maintained for our parish and school communities. The ideal candidate will have broad maintenance experience, strong troubleshooting abilities, excellent organizational skills, and the ability to work independently while leading a maintenance team.

Full-time, 40-50 hours per week with varied hours
Salary:
$52,000-$62,000 annually, based on experience and qualifications

Pension Medical, dental, and vision insurance through the Diocese of Cleveland benefit plans Paid time off and holidays (if applicable) Essential Responsibilities Perform general maintenance and repairs including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, painting, and basic mechanical work. Conduct routine inspections of buildings, equipment, and building systems to ensure safe and efficient operation. Respond promptly to maintenance emergencies, including evenings and weekends when necessary. Maintain parish and school grounds, including landscaping, snow and ice removal, seasonal maintenance, and debris cleanup. Maintain maintenance equipment, tools, parish vehicles, maintenance records, and preventative maintenance logs. Ensure compliance with all applicable safety regulations, inspections, and regulatory requirements, including: Fire inspections Asbestos inspections Board of Health inspections Backflow prevention testing Other required federal, state, and local regulations Coordinate room setups and facility preparation for parish, school, and community events. Troubleshoot maintenance issues and determine appropriate repair solutions. Assist with and oversee facility improvement and renovation projects under the direction of the Business Manager. Supervise parish and school maintenance personnel and coordinate the work of church cleaning volunteers. Meet regularly with the Business Manager to review maintenance priorities, projects, budgets, purchases, and supply needs. Coordinate purchasing of maintenance equipment and custodial supplies with Business Manager approval. Maintain a professional appearance while demonstrating integrity, discretion, and confidentiality. Qualifications Experience in commercial, institutional, school, parish, or facility maintenance preferred. Working knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and general building maintenance. Strong problem-solving skills and the ability to work independently with minimal supervision. Experience supervising employees or coordinating maintenance teams preferred. Ability to prioritize multiple projects and respond effectively to changing needs. Excellent communication and organizational skills. Ability to maintain accurate maintenance records. Physical Requirements Lift and carry 50 pounds or more on a regular basis. Stand, walk, bend, climb ladders, and perform physical work for extended periods. Work indoors and outdoors in all weather conditions. Be available to respond to maintenance emergencies outside normal business hours. Requirements Valid driver's license. Successful completion of a background check. Completion of Diocese of Cleveland VIRTUS training (or willingness to complete upon hire). Must hold or be willing to obtain a Designated Asbestos Management Certificate.
