Job Description

Service Manager The Service Manager is responsible for the overall management and coordination of the service department in an agricultural dealership. This role involves leading a team of technicians, managing service operations, ensuring customer satisfaction, and maintaining profitability. The Service Manager will work closely with other departments to ensure smooth operations and high-quality service delivery. The essential job functions include but are not limited to the responsibilities listed below.
  • Lead, mentor, and develop a team of service technicians and support staff.
  • Schedule and assign work, ensuring efficient use of labor and resources.
  • Monitor and evaluate the performance of the service team, providing feedback and coaching as needed.
  • Oversee the daily operations of the service department, ensuring timely and accurate completion of work orders.
  • Manage the workflow and prioritize service requests based on urgency and customer needs.
  • Maintain accurate records of service work, inventory, and parts.
  • Monitor and manage the service department's budget, including labor costs, parts inventory, and other expenses.
  • Work with the dealership's management team to develop and achieve financial goals.
  • Ensure the service department has the necessary tools, equipment, and resources to perform high-quality work.
  • Collaborate with the sales and parts departments to ensure seamless customer service and support.

  • Proven experience in a service management role, preferably in an agricultural or heavy equipment dealership.
  • Strong leadership and team management skills.
  • Excellent customer service and communication skills.
  • Technical knowledge of agricultural equipment and machinery.
  • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities.
  • Proficiency in computer systems and dealership management software.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and handle multiple priorities.
Job Type:
Full-time Pay:
$60,000.00 - $70,000.00 per year
