Position Introduction:
The Facilities Management Area Maintenance/General Services Supervisor oversees the operation and maintenance of university facilities, directing zone maintenance personnel and coordinating preventive maintenance activities. The successful candidate will drive operational excellence by improving equipment reliability, enhancing energy efficiency, and ensuring timely completion of maintenance services.
Essential Duties and Responsibilities:
Supervise zone maintenance teams responsible for the operation, repair, and upkeep of university facilities. Manage preventive maintenance programs for HVAC systems, including filter replacement, belt maintenance, and Variable Frequency Drive (VFD) inspections and servicing. Develop and implement optimized maintenance schedules to improve equipment reliability, reduce downtime, and control operational costs. Lead campus-wide lighting maintenance programs and LED retrofit initiatives to support energy conservation goals. Coordinate maintenance activities with building managers, HVAC technicians, electricians, plumbers, and other specialized trades. Conduct facility inspections, identify deficiencies, and implement corrective and preventive maintenance actions. Maintain, inspect, and clean VFD equipment to maximize HVAC system performance and ensure operational continuity. Monitor work order completion, quality standards, customer service expectations, and regulatory compliance. Promote and enforce workplace safety procedures and university policies. Drive continuous improvement initiatives focused on reliability-centered maintenance, energy efficiency, and operational effectiveness. Required Education and Experience:
High School diploma or GED. 4 years of related experience, including at least 1 years in a leadership or supervisory role
Required Certifications and Licenses:
Must possess a valid Oklahoma Driver's License to operate University vehicles or obtain one within 30 days of hire. Some positions may require a contractor's license and/or additional trade-specific certifications depending on assigned area of supervision. Hiring Contingent Upon a
