As the Maintenance Manager position at the Operations & Maintenance (O&M) Chouteau Power Plant in Oklahoma is essential for ensuring business continuity and supporting Siemens Energy's service commitments by leading the maintenance team to guarantee reliable, safe, and efficient plant operations. This role focuses on overseeing daily operations, ensuring long-term equipment health, and adhering to mandatory safety and quality standards. The ideal candidate will possess significant experience in power plant maintenance, proven leadership capabilities, and a strong background in managing safety, quality, and budgetary controls. Impact:
Lead and develop a team of maintenance professionals, setting operational goals and managing performance to enhance team effectiveness and ensure operational availability of power plant equipment. Plan, schedule, and direct preventive, predictive, and corrective maintenance activities while managing budgets and controlling costs, reporting key performance indicators (KPIs) to senior management. Respond rapidly and effectively to equipment failures and operational disruptions to minimize downtime and maintain plant efficiency. Develop and implement long-term asset management strategies to improve plant reliability, efficiency, and lifespan, while overseeing continuous improvement processes for maintenance procedures. Manage procurement and inventory of spare parts and tools, optimizing stock levels and availability, and analyze operational data to forecast needs and identify failure trends. Enforce Environment, Health, and Safety (EHS) policies to ensure a zero-harm workplace, ensuring compliance with quality standards and conducting risk assessments for all maintenance activities.
What You Bring:
Bachelor's degree in Mechanical or Electrical Engineering (or equivalent experience) with 5-8 years of experience in power generation, maintenance, or plant operations. Candidates with experience can be considered for a higher level or vice versa. Strong technical knowledge of power plant systems, including thermodynamics, fluid dynamics, high-pressure steam, and mechanical, electrical, and instrumentation equipment. Proven leadership experience with the ability to lead teams, drive performance, and promote a collaborative, safety-focused culture. Ability to navigate complex technical documentation, contracts, and stakeholder relationships within a global organization. Excellent communication, organizational, and digital skills, with a proactive approach to problem-solving and continuous improvement.
