Responsibilities:

• Lead and improve preventive maintenance programs across Eugene, Klamath Falls, and White City facilities to enhance equipment reliability and reduce unplanned downtime.
• Manage maintenance schedules, work orders, equipment inspections, repair records, spare parts, and maintenance costs.
• Troubleshoot and support maintenance of diesel trucks, trailers, heavy equipment, mobile equipment, engines, hydraulic systems, electrical systems, and brakes.
• Analyze equipment failures, conduct root cause analysis, and implement corrective actions to prevent recurring issues.
• Lead, train, and develop maintenance employees while promoting safety, accountability, and continuous improvement.
• Coordinate maintenance activities with operations to minimize downtime and prioritize critical repairs.
• Manage maintenance parts, vendors, contractors, major repairs, and maintenance projects.
• Ensure proper implementation of safety procedures, including lockout/tagout (LOTO), and maintain required inspection and repair documentation.
• Travel periodically to Southern Oregon facilities to inspect equipment, troubleshoot issues, and support maintenance operations.

Qualifications:

• Experience in industrial, heavy equipment, fleet, or related maintenance environments.
• Previous experience leading or coordinating maintenance teams and preventive maintenance programs.
• Strong mechanical troubleshooting, diagnostic, and problem-solving skills.
• Hands-on experience with diesel engines, heavy trucks, trailers, hydraulics, electrical systems, mobile equipment, balers, welding, or fabrication preferred.
• Experience with CMMS, maintenance scheduling, equipment reliability, and reducing downtime.
• Strong organizational, communication, leadership, and project coordination skills.
• Ability to manage maintenance priorities, parts inventory, vendors, and budgets.
• Proficiency with computers and maintenance management software.
• Valid driver's license and ability to travel between facilities.
• Technical degree, trade certification, or equivalent experience preferred.
• Experience in recycling, scrap metal, manufacturing, construction, or heavy industrial environments preferred
