Core Responsibilities Provide active, hands-on technical guidance on the plant floor to assist technicians in troubleshooting mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic equipment. Drive safety initiatives down through all levels of the maintenance department to ensure a proactive safety culture. Manage daily maintenance budgets, spare parts inventories, and capital expenditure planning for equipment upgrades. Evaluate and optimize preventive/predictive maintenance (PM/PdM) programs to maximize machine uptime and operational reliability. Standardize maintenance processes, develop clear SOPs, and manage external contractor and vendor relationships. Lead performance reviews, skill assessments, and continuous training programs to build a high-performing technical team.
Direct maintenance management or supervisory experience within plastics processing environments (Extrusion, Injection Molding, Blow Molding, Thermoforming, Film, or Profile).
Hands-On Leadership Style:
A mentor-first mindset with a strong preference for actively working on the floor rather than managing behind a desk.
Solid Equipment Knowledge:
Background in troubleshooting industrial equipment, including pumps, motors, drives, chillers, air compressors, hydraulics, pneumatics, and material handling systems.
Diagnostic Skills:
Proficiency in PLC navigation and system diagnostics for effective troubleshooting (programming experience is not required).
Systems Familiarity:
Experience using modern CMMS platforms to track maintenance schedules, parts, and equipment performance history. H2
