This position is responsible for directing, supervising, and coordinating maintenance and contracted services district-wide. This position will work closely with the Director, maintain ongoing communications with work status updates, and alert the Director when any concerns or issues arise.

QUALIFICATIONS EDUCATION/EXPERIENCE AND/OR TRAINING

Minimum 7-10 years' experience with a general, plumbing, HVAC or electrical contractor, Construction Manager or Project Manager with an emphasis on HVAC/Energy Management Systems. Must have knowledge of Building Automation Systems, Operations, and Programming, preferred. 5-7 years experience managing/supervising work crews on multiple shifts, required. Experience managing a union workforce is highly desirable.

LICENSES OR CERTIFICATIONS

Asbestos Contractor/Supervisor, Pesticide (Core, Cat 23 & 24), PADEP Water System Operator Certification (Class D Water, Subclass 9 & 13); if not currently held, must obtain within one (1) year. EPA Refrigerant Certification preferred.

WORK-RELATED KNOWLEDGE

Building Codes, Plumbing and Electrical codes. Read and interpret blueprints to facilitate work projects. Ability to prepare cost estimates, budgets, and scopes of work. Ability to interact effectively with members of the school community, the public, and the School Board. Experience in the business/management side of Buildings and Grounds maintenance. Experience in Sports Field maintenance, grounds maintenance, and landscaping preferred.
