JOB DESCRIPTION

The Manager, Facilities Maintenance ensuring on-going management, repair and upkeep of the Northeast Distribution Center and it's physical assets. This role is responsible for the effective, efficient and safe daily operation within this site. The Manager, Facilities Maintenance will serve as the primary point of contact with the property owner. This role will also serve as the point person for facility safety, working closely with

EHS/QA Responsibilities:

• Maintain proper operation of all building systems and equipment including; fire/life safety, mechanical, electrical,
• Inspect building systems and equipment for problems, troubleshoot issues, make repairs as necessary, and escalate more complex repairs to the Director of Facilities Maintenance and Manufacturing Engineering and the Site Manager.
• Oversee any contractors working within the facility, ensuring they follow all facility safety guidelines.
• Complete required maintenance activity and maintain on-time preventive maintenance records in Synergy, for all facility requirements. This includes, but is not limited to, eyewash stations, fire extinguishers, first aid boxes, defibrillators, chambers and production/refurbishment equipment.
• Manage performance and relationship with external cleaning service to ensure a sanitary, organized facility. This includes management of consumables to ensure efficient and cost-effective supply.
• Manage performance and relationship with external supplier responsible for restocking any safety related items; ie first aid boxes, visitor vest cleaning, PPE replenishment, etc.
• Comply with all safety and environmental procedures, including hazardous control, lockout - tag out programs, and other building awareness programs.
• Working with process improvement teams to develop safe and efficient work center layouts. Support physical moves required.
• Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

Requirements:

• Associate's degree in engineering discipline or equivalent experience required.
• BSIE, BSME, or BS in Engineering Technology or related engineering field preferred.
• 3+ years of experience in facilities management position.
• Working knowledge of fire/life safety, electrical, mechanical and HVAC systems.
• Able to read and understand complex electrical, mechanical and automation systems plans, drawings and documentation.
• Hands on experience problem solving, troubleshooting equipment, and process improvement.
• Experience in equipment maintenance programs is a plus.
• Experience applying Continuous Improvement, Lean Manufacturing/6 Sigma principles.
• Excellent project management skills; ability to plan and implement projects from concept to completion.
• Strong interpersonal skills and ability to work with others in a positive and collaborative manner.
• Ability to be flexible and able to adapt to changes in priorities.
• Effective oral and written communication skills.
• Proficient in MS Office applications; Word, Excel, Access, as well as Adobe Acrobat, etc. Other Requirements (License, Permit, Certification, Travel, Physical etc.):
• Ability to lift up to 50 lbs. on occasion.
• Available for occasional travel.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $75,000.00 per year
