Up to 5% Annual Performance Bonus Relocation Assistance Available Lead a Skilled Industrial Maintenance Team We are hiring an experienced Maintenance Supervisor to lead a team of four to five Maintenance Technicians at a large manufacturing facility. This is a hands-on leadership role focused on equipment reliability, preventive maintenance, employee development, safety, and continuous improvement. The ideal candidate has a strong industrial maintenance background and understands electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, motor control, welding, and CMMS systems. You will be responsible for leading the maintenance crew during night-shift operations, coordinating repairs, assigning work, improving equipment performance, and supporting a safe and productive manufacturing environment. Schedule This position follows a rotating two-week schedule: Week 1: Monday Tuesday Saturday Sunday Week 2: Wednesday Thursday Friday Hours are 6:00 PM-6:00 AM. Employees receive every other weekend off. During the four-day workweek, hours worked over 40 are paid at straight time. What You'll Do Lead, coach, and develop a team of four to five Maintenance Technicians Assign daily maintenance work and manage crew priorities Coordinate preventive maintenance, repairs, troubleshooting, and equipment improvement activities Monitor maintenance work for quality, accuracy, safety, and timely completion Lead daily shift meetings and communicate production and maintenance priorities Respond to equipment breakdowns and help minimize downtime Support troubleshooting of electrical, mechanical, hydraulic, pneumatic, PLC, and motor-control systems Manage schedules, crew assignments, overtime, and departmental resources Lead Root Cause Analysis and corrective-action activities Use A3 thinking, PDCA, and structured problem-solving methods Develop and maintain standard work for technicians and maintenance leadership Coach employees through performance, attendance, safety, and workplace concerns Resolve conflicts and promote accountability across the maintenance team Maintain employee morale and engagement Support continuous improvement and equipment reliability initiatives Ensure compliance with environmental, health, and safety requirements Lead plant safety initiatives and complete required safety assessments Coordinate with production, engineering, contractors, vendors, and outside service providers Enforce company policies, procedures, work rules, and applicable labor agreements Maintain accurate maintenance records and work orders within the CMMS Track department performance and support plant productivity, quality, and cost goals Must-Have Qualifications High school diploma or GED At least five years of industrial or manufacturing maintenance experience At least three years of maintenance leadership, lead, or supervisory experience Experience leading Maintenance Technicians in a production environment Strong knowledge of electrical and mechanical maintenance Experience with hydraulics and pneumatics Experience troubleshooting PLC-controlled equipment Knowledge of MCCs, motor controls, welding, and industrial machinery Experience with preventive maintenance and CMMS systems Root Cause Analysis experience Strong leadership, coaching, and employee-relations skills Ability to manage schedules, work assignments, and competing priorities Strong communication and conflict-resolution skills Comfortable working a 12-hour rotating night schedule Preferred Qualifications Associate degree in industrial maintenance, electrical technology, mechanical technology, or a related field Experience with finishing, anodizing, coating, paint, extrusion, or metals manufacturing Lean Manufacturing experience Continuous improvement training A3 problem-solving experience PDCA experience Experience leading environmental, health, and safety initiatives Experience working in a union manufacturing environment JD Edwards experience Microsoft Word and Excel experience Leader Standard Work experience Technical Knowledge Candidates should have working knowledge of several of the following: Industrial electrical systems Electronics PLC troubleshooting Motor Control Centers Motor controls Hydraulics Pneumatics Mechanical systems Welding Conveyors Pumps Bearings Gearboxes Preventive maintenance CMMS work orders Root Cause Analysis Equipment reliability Industrial safety What Makes Someone Successful The successful Maintenance Supervisor will be able to balance technical maintenance knowledge with strong people leadership.
