Job Description
Overview We are seeking a motivated and technically skilled Assistant Regional Service Manager to support service operations across a portfolio of 10 residential apartment communities in Pennsylvania and New Jersey. This role focuses on training program development, preventative maintenance programs, day-to-day maintenance operations, and vendor partnerships, while directly assisting the Regional Service Manager in driving consistency and performance across the portfolio. Key Responsibilities Regional Support Directly assist the Regional Service Manager in aligning maintenance operations with business goals. Travel regularly between properties in Pennsylvania and New Jersey to support consistency across sites. Collaborate with property managers and site maintenance teams on priorities and follow-through. Training & Development Assist in developing and delivering training programs for on-site maintenance teams. Support onboarding of new maintenance staff, ensuring consistency in skills and standards across properties. Help build training materials and resources for recurring maintenance procedures. Preventative Maintenance (PM) Programs Assist in implementing and tracking preventative maintenance programs across the portfolio. Monitor PM completion and follow up on gaps to reduce downtime and extend equipment life. Help refine PM schedules and checklists based on site needs. Maintenance Operations Support daily maintenance operations, ensuring timely and high-quality service delivery. Conduct site visits to monitor team performance, safety practices, and shop organization. Provide hands-on troubleshooting support for mechanical, HVAC, and plumbing issues. Step in to support site-level maintenance leadership during staffing gaps as needed. Vendor & Partnership Management Assist in coordinating third-party vendors and contractors for routine and project work. Help monitor vendor performance, quality, and cost-effectiveness. Support coordination of repairs, renovations, and capital improvement projects. Qualifications Minimum 7 years of experience in property or facilities maintenance, with some supervisory or lead experience preferred. Solid understanding of building systems including HVAC, boilers, plumbing, and electrical. Strong communication and organizational skills; comfortable working independently across multiple sites. Ability to travel frequently between Pennsylvania and New Jersey. HVAC certification preferred;
