DESCRIPTION OF WORK

This position supports facility maintenance by supervising inmate crews and completing work in multiple trades. As a Corrections Maintenance Foreman, you will perform the following duties:

Crew Leadership:

Direct inmate crews in maintenance, repair, construction, and grounds tasks

Work Oversight:

Inspect completed assignments and ensure instructions and schedules are followed

Skilled Assistance:

Support carpentry, plumbing, electrical, and other skilled trade work as needed

Tool Management:

Issue tools, maintain inventory, and conduct searches to ensure accountability

Safety Monitoring:

Promote safe work habits, maintain order, and respond to hazards responsibly

Resource Planning:

Work Schedule and Additional Information:

Full-time employment

Work hours are 7:30 AM to 3:30 PM, Monday

• Friday, with a 30-minute lunch.

REQUIRED EXPERIENCE, TRAINING & ELIGIBILITY QUALIFICATIONS

Minimum Experience and Training Requirements:

Four years of experience performing building maintenance, construction, or general trades work; or

An equivalent combination of experience and training.

Additional Requirements:

Successful completion of Basic Training in Elizabethtown, PA is required.

You must be able to perform essential job functions.

You must pass a background investigation and meet Criminal Justice Information Services (CJIS) compliance requirements.
