We are seeking a dedicated Maintenance Technician Assistant to join our Silver Springs at East Norriton team. The ideal candidate will assist our maintenance and housekeeping team in ensuring the facility is well-maintained, safe, and comfortable for our residents. This role requires a proactive and detail-oriented individual who thrives in a supportive role within a collaborative environment.

Key Responsibilities:

Assist with

Repairs and Maintenance:

Support senior maintenance technicians in performing repairs and maintenance tasks throughout the senior living community, including plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and mechanical systems.

Groundskeeping and Outdoor Maintenance:

Help maintain the grounds and outdoor areas of the community, including landscaping, lawn care, snow removal, and ensuring outdoor spaces are safe and well-kept.

Safety and Security:

Assist in conducting routine inspections of the facility to identify and address safety and security hazards. Report any issues promptly to ensure the safety of residents and staff.

General Maintenance Tasks:

Perform minor repairs and tasks such as painting, drywall repair, changing light bulbs, and other general maintenance duties as assigned.

Equipment and Inventory Management:

Assist with maintaining inventory of supplies and equipment. Ensure tools and equipment are properly stored, maintained, and in good working condition.

Resident Support:

Provide courteous and prompt response to resident maintenance requests. Maintain a friendly and professional demeanor while interacting with residents and staff.

Qualifications:

High school diploma or equivalent. Previous experience in maintenance, facilities, or a related field preferred. Knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, and general maintenance tasks. Ability to work independently and as part of a team in a fast-paced environment. Excellent communication and interpersonal skills. Strong attention to detail and problem-solving abilities. Ability to lift and carry heavy objects and perform physical tasks such as bending, kneeling, and climbing ladders. Previous senior living, hospitality or facility management experience is preferred.
