Maintenance Supervisor Rusken Packaging Location:

Hazleton, PA Position Summary The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for leading the daily operations of the maintenance team to ensure equipment reliability, minimal downtime, and a safe, efficient work environment . This role oversees preventive and corrective maintenance, develops technicians, and partners closely with production to support plant performance goals. Key Responsibilities Team Leadership Lead, coach, and develop maintenance technicians Assign and prioritize daily work orders based on operational needs Set clear expectations and hold the team accountable to performance standards Conduct performance reviews and provide ongoing feedback Reinforce a culture of ownership, urgency, and accountability Maintenance Operations Plan and execute preventive and predictive maintenance programs Ensure timely completion and accuracy of work orders Troubleshoot equipment issues and support rapid resolution Maintain accurate maintenance records, including: PM completion Breakdown trends Work order history Equipment Reliability Monitor equipment performance and identify recurring issues Drive root cause analysis and long-term corrective actions Implement reliability-focused maintenance practices Reduce unplanned downtime and extend equipment life Safety & Compliance Enforce all OSHA and company safety standards Lead safety meetings, audits, and toolbox talks Identify and eliminate potential hazards Promote a proactive safety culture across the team Inventory & Cost Control Manage spare parts inventory and ensure critical parts availability Control maintenance spend and align with budget expectations Work with vendors and contractors as needed Collaboration & Communication Coordinate with production to schedule maintenance activities Partner with leadership on continuous improvement initiatives Communicate performance, issues, and priorities clearly across departments

Qualifications Required:

High school diploma or equivalent 5+ years of maintenance experience in a manufacturing environment Strong knowledge of mechanical, electrical, hydraulic, and pneumatic systems Experience with CMMS systems

Preferred:

2+ years of supervisory or leadership experience Associate or Bachelor's degree in a technical field Proven track record of improving equipment reliability Work Environment Industrial/manufacturing setting Requires standing, walking, lifting, and working in varying conditions On-call support may be required
