Monday-Friday Job Summary D.C. Goodman & Sons is a commercial mechanical contractor based at 326 Penn St, with our own shop, warehouse, and fabrication space. We're hiring a Facility Maintenance Manager to oversee the upkeep of our own operational facility and fleet — not client job sites. This role heavily involves organization and inventory management, alongside hands-on facilities and handyman work. We're looking for someone with broad, hands-on facilities experience who's ready to lead maintenance operations, and keep our shop and warehouse organized. Key Responsibilities Oversee upkeep of the shop, warehouse, and building systems (HVAC, plumbing, electrical, structural) Organize and maintain the shop and warehouse — determining what needs to be kept, stored, or discarded Manage inventory of tools, parts, equipment, and consumables, including tracking usage and reordering as needed Handle general handyman repairs — painting, basic fixes, flat tires, and other day-to-day maintenance needs Perform light cleaning and upkeep of shop and warehouse spaces Manage preventive maintenance schedules for facility equipment and the company vehicle/service fleet Identify and coordinate with the right vendors for outside services (waste removal, landscaping, pest control, etc.) Budget for facility repairs, capital equipment, and maintenance contracts Respond to emergency facility issues (outages, HVAC failures, leaks) Oversee building security, alarms, and access systems
Qualifications Required:
5-8+ years hands-on facility/trades experience Strong organizational skills, with sound judgment on what materials/equipment to keep vs. discard Inventory/parts management experience — comfortable tracking, organizing, and maintaining accurate stock General working knowledge across HVAC, plumbing, electrical, and general building systems General handyman skills (painting, basic repairs, tire changes, etc.) Valid driver's license
Preferred:
Fleet/vehicle maintenance scheduling experience
