SUMMARY Knouse Foods is looking for a supervisor at our Orrtanna Facility! This position helps oversee our 1st shift maintenance team on the production floor and through general administrative duties. This role is responsible for ordering parts, updating schedules, attending meetings, perform employee evaluations, and other responsibilities below. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES

including the following (Performs other assignments or duties as required as well as rotates shifts.) Ensures lines are running effectively by fixing problems and ordering parts. May need to find outside help from technical staff if necessary. Assures that equipment is calibrated per the documented calibration schedule. Plan and arrange employees work times by creating, updating and modifying work schedules. Follows regulations and policy guidelines by attending meetings, creating work orders, and supervising workers with safety, environmental and GMP issues. Assures the PSA Work Order system is properly followed. Appraises employees by completing a yearly mechanic evaluation. Ensures timely and satisfactory project completion by managing employees' workload, and by contacting/scheduling vendors and service technicians as necessary. Informs management by writing 'End of Season' and downtime reports as well as production evaluations. Records actions by completing back up procedures and filing accounting documents. Ensures that job tasks are aligned with company production needs, monitoring performance, coaching, appraising job results, and praising/disciplining as necessary. Contributes to the team effort by accomplishing related results as needed. Contributes to the Company effort by continually looking for ways to improve productivity and customer orientation within department by use of better technology, procedures and use of resources. Maintains professional and technical knowledge/skills by using the performance appraisal system to access personal strengths and development needs to accomplish the strategic goals of the organization. Ensure that equipment is maintained as to not pose a food safety or food quality risk.
