Job Description

McKean County is seeking qualified candidates for the Mechanical, Electrical, and Plumbing Systems (MEPS) Manager position in the Maintenance Department. The purpose of this position is to maintain systems within the County facilities and to ensure compliance with all safety and environmental regulations. Reporting to the Director of Maintenance, responsibilities include but are not limited to the following: Conducts general maintenance work with priority in overseeing the heating, ventilation, and cooling systems.
  • Provides direction and supervision for maintenance staff working within the scope of the project.
  • Coordinates and oversees the activities of all outside contractors under the direction of the Director of Maintenance.
  • Assures County compliance with all relevant state and federal regulations.
  • Submits requests for supplies or parts to the Director of Maintenance for purchase.
  • Assists with such other duties as may be assigned for the successful operation of the department.
Qualifications include:
Education:
High School diploma or equivalent.
Experience:
2 years of experience in facilities maintenance.
Special Requirements:
HVAC experience with Universal Certification preferred. Electrical safety experience. General knowledge of electrical systems. Piping and plumbing experience.
Pay:
$21.50 per hour
