Overview We are seeking an experienced and highly skilled Auto Body Shop Foreman to serve as the technical and operational leader of our shop. This person will be the "brain of the business" when it comes to vehicle repairs, estimating, production, quality control, and managing the day-to-day workflow of the shop. The ideal candidate is a hands-on automotive professional with strong technical knowledge, excellent estimating skills, leadership ability, and experience managing the complete repair process from vehicle drop-off through delivery. Responsibilities Oversee the day-to-day operations and workflow of the auto body shop Act as the primary technical resource for the shop and technicians Inspect vehicles and accurately identify collision damage, including hidden and structural damage Write detailed and accurate repair estimates Prepare supplements when additional damage is discovered during teardown Review estimates to ensure all necessary labor, parts, materials, and procedures are included Communicate with insurance companies, adjusters, parts suppliers, customers, and technicians Coordinate with insurance adjusters regarding estimates, supplements, repair procedures, and approvals Assign and prioritize work for technicians based on skill level, workload, and repair deadlines Monitor repair progress and make sure vehicles move efficiently through each stage of production Inspect completed repairs to ensure quality, safety, and proper workmanship before delivery Identify delays or problems and resolve them quickly Ensure technicians are following manufacturer repair procedures and proper industry repair standards Assist technicians with difficult or complex repairs when necessary Verify parts ordering, parts accuracy, and parts availability Help control parts, labor, and material costs Maintain accurate repair documentation and customer records Communicate repair timelines and updates to customers Maintain a clean, organized, and professional shop environment Train, mentor, and hold technicians accountable for quality and productivity Help establish and maintain shop procedures and standards Work closely with ownership to improve efficiency, profitability, customer satisfaction, and overall shop performance Required Qualifications 5+ years of professional auto body/collision repair experience Previous experience as an Auto Body Foreman, Shop Foreman, Lead Technician, Production Manager, or similar position Strong technical knowledge of collision repair Must be able to independently inspect a vehicle and determine the appropriate repair process Must be able to write accurate collision repair estimates Experience working with insurance companies and insurance adjusters Strong knowledge of parts, labor operations, repair procedures, and collision damage Ability to identify supplemental damage after teardown Strong understanding of structural and non-structural repairs Excellent problem-solving and diagnostic skills Strong leadership and communication skills Ability to manage multiple vehicles and priorities simultaneously Must be organized, dependable, and detail-oriented Valid driver's license Preferred Qualifications Experience with CCC ONE, Mitchell, Audatex, or other collision estimating software I-CAR certifications ASE certifications Experience working with OEM repair procedures Experience managing technicians and production schedules Experience negotiating or communicating with insurance adjusters Experience working in a high-volume collision repair facility What We're Looking For We are looking for someone who can think beyond simply repairing the vehicle . The Foreman will be expected to understand the entire repair process, recognize problems before they become delays, ensure estimates are complete and accurate, communicate effectively with insurance companies and customers, and keep the technicians productive. The right person should be comfortable making decisions, solving problems, taking ownership, and being the person the team goes to when they don't know how to handle something. You should be able to walk into the shop, look at a damaged vehicle, understand what needs to be done, determine how it should be repaired, write the estimate, direct the technicians, monitor the repair, and make sure the finished vehicle is properly repaired before it leaves the shop.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $105,000.00 per year
