Job Description

Lead Commissioning Agent (CxA) Alares LLC Quincy, MA Job Details Full-time $110,000 - $150,000 a year 2 hours ago Qualifications Renovation Electrical systems Relationship management Project scheduling Air conditioning Full Job Description Help run our commissioning practice Alares has commissioned healthcare and federal facilities for years and commissioning is a core in-house capability. We're looking for a licensed/certified commissioning professional to help lead that group: run projects, grow the team, and own commissioning delivery. You'll shape how we deliver commissioning and mentor the engineers coming up behind you. What you'll do
  • Serve as commissioning authority (CxA) on new-construction, renovation, and retro-commissioning projects — HVAC, controls/BAS, electrical, plumbing, fire protection, and building envelope.
  • Develop commissioning plans, design reviews, pre-functional and functional performance tests, issues logs, and final Cx reports.
  • Lead on-site functional testing in occupied hospitals and federal facilities where continuity of operations matters.
  • Coordinate directly with our in-house MEP, structural, and architectural teams and with VA/DoD/GSA project staff.
  • Help run the group — scheduling, QA, client relationships, and building out the commissioning team. What you bring
  • Active commissioning certification — CxA (BCxP, CCP, or QCxP also considered), with a record of leading Cx projects.
  • Building-systems commissioning experience — healthcare, federal, institutional, or commercial.
  • Strong command of MEP systems, controls sequences, and functional testing.
  • PE is a plus; (our work is nationwide).
  • Comfort leading testing in occupied, mission-critical facilities. Why Alares
  • Lead, don't just execute — help run the group with a real path to principal and equity.
  • Variety — VA, DoD, GSA, and private healthcare, not a single-client shop.
  • Stability — 20 years in business, grown from 18 to 55 people in two years.
  • Flexibility — hybrid or remote for the right candidate; two offices (MA and FL).
Pay:
$110,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
