What they do
A Maintenance Planner improves workforce productivity and work quality of a maintenance organization by anticipating and eliminating potential delays through planning, scheduling, and coordination of labor, parts and material, and equipment access. Reports to Maintenance Manager and maintains liaison between Operations and Maintenance. Through supervision of the Maintenance Administrator, the planner is also responsible for maintenance of records and files essential to meaningful analysis and reporting of maintenance-related matters.

Position Purpose The Space Planner provides planning, design and limited project management for new program spaces, department relocation, small and mediumscale building renovations and, occasionally, new construction. The position facilitates and manages projects from initial programming and conceptual design through project budgeting and scheduling, and, when necessary, solicitation of licensed professionals to proceed with the building permit, design development and construction processes. The Planner also is responsible for analyzing space data, managing space use and utilization studies, and updating space standards and guidelines. Description Required Qualifications Education and Yrs Exp Bachelors plus 6 or more years' experience or combination of education and experience
Required Qualifications Skills, Knowledge and Abilities Bachelor's degree or technical certification related to architecture, interior design, construction management, or the equivalent combination of education and experience
Five to seven years in planning, designing, and facilitation design and construction projects
Excellent verbal and written communication and presentation skills
Proficient with design and/or construction software, such as AutoCad, Revit, and SketchUp Preferred Qualifications Familiarity with a broad variety of higher education design environments
