Job Description

Job Summary:
The Maintenance Supervisor oversees and manages the day to day operation of the facility within their department.
Job Responsibilities/Duties:
Maintenance Supervisor
  • Arrive early to prepare/maintain production work flow for day to day operations
  • Plan and assign daily workload for all team resources.
  • Verify daily and as needed that all team resources are logged into the proper job number and operation.
  • Establish priorities, monitor job progress and resolve issues to ensure on-time delivery.
  • Utilizes MES to ensure that all completed operations are logged into MES as complete.
  • Identify safety, quality, production, and efficiency issues and recommend improvements
  • Ensure all equipment and tools are maintained and in proper working condition
  • Ensure empty gas cylinders within your area are returned to their proper location
  • Resolve personnel problems by analyzing/investigating, identifying solutions and enforcing resulting actions.
  • Report issues regarding personnel or production directly to the Shop Manager
  • Maintain accurate attendance records by verifying all employees have reported to work and notify Human Resources to report all unaccounted-for personnel
  • Responsible for training of new and existing employees on all topics related to their specific job duties, including the company portal and ERP system.
  • Prepare employee performance reviews
  • Assist with coaching, counseling and disciplining team resources.
  • Interview potential candidates and provide them with information regarding the position.
  • Ensure that your department is maintained, clean and organized.
  • Ensures proper job materials, supplies and tools are available for all team resources.
  • Serves as Safety Team Member and ensures that all assigned personnel are trained in the proper use of PPE, and the General Safety Rules of ACS and OSHA.
  • Ensures personnel continuously adhere to ACS and OSHA Safety Policies and rules.
  • Survey buildings and repair mechanical systems to ensure they are consistent with health and safety standards
  • Perform maintenance of electrical systems (replace light bulbs and sockets, clean and repair circuit breaker panels etc.)
  • Assist in the setup of ventilation, refrigeration and other systems and conduct repairs when necessary
  • Maintain heating and plumbing systems to ensure functionality
  • Perform manual repairs when necessary (fix locks, replace windows etc.)
  • Conduct general upkeep procedures and other tasks as assigned
  • Routine work on forklifts, hydraulics and power tools
  • Responsible for any other tasks that may arise; at any time
Work Environmental & Physical Demand:
  • May stand for long periods of up to 12 hours.
  • Must be able to lift, up to 50 lbs. repetitively, as well as frequent twisting and bending, to meet fast paced work demands
  • Work in various adverse conditions such as tight or enclosed spaces, heights and extreme temperatures. May work inside or outside to complete work assignments. Position requires exposure to dust and dirt.
  • Follow safety standards in working with multiple services, tools and equipment.
Minimum Requirements/Experience:
  • Must have a minimum of 5-year experience in maintenance in an industrial environment
  • Advanced understanding of electrical, hydraulic and other systems
  • Knowledge of maintenance processes and methods
  • Advanced knowledge of tools, common appliances and devices
  • Displays management and leadership skills
  • Must pass a drug screen and background check for employment
  • Ability to communicate effectively and demonstrates good listening skills
