Summary Directs the operations of maintenance of machinery & equipment to provide uninterrupted service. Investigates and analyzes a wide variety of maintenance related items to increase efficiency. Recommends equipment and repair and or replacement. Plans layouts for fabrication, assembly, tooling and other maintenance sequences.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities:

• Directs the operations and maintenance of steam, electrical, mechanical, compressed air, water and refrigeration systems to provide uninterrupted service
• Assists Engineering with establishing machinery production settings (steam pressure, temperature, tonnage of press, etc.) so that equipment runs with the proper settings
• Develops, schedules, and controls a preventative maintenance program to maintain production machinery and equipment utilizing SAP
• Directs, supervises, coordinates the maintenance tool and die shop personnel
• Responsible for the activities of all maintenance personnel & contractors to ensure that high standards of workmanship and safety are maintained
• Ensure proper maintenance of facility machinery, facility, and grounds
• Resolves operational, manufacturing, and maintenance problems to ensure minimum costs and prevent operational delays
• Recommends, plans, and implements equipment needs to improve production efficiency and/or achieve desired results
• Identifies cost reduction opportunities
• Utilizes technical expertise to implement or oversee the implementation of cost reduction ideas suggested by self and others
• Oversees inventories of maintenance material, supplies, and repair parts at required levels by initiating requisitions for purchase; periodically reviews inventory for proper upkeep for plant facilities
• Directs the work of outside contractors. Ensures high standards of safety are developed, met & maintained

• Assist in providing and maintaining a safe workplace
• As a member of the Environmental Management System CFT reports on the performance of the EMS program to management on a periodic basis for the review & improvement of the EMS
• Manages employees in the Maintenance Department and is responsible for the overall direction, coordination and evaluation of this unit
• Ensures all APS related activities are current and APS scoring meets standards dictated by the APS Manager.

Education / Experience

Associates Degree in Industrial Maintenance, equivalent experience, certifications. Minimum of 5 to 8 years related maintenance and technical supervisory experience is required. Ability to manage multi-shift maintenance department in automotive fast paced setting. Knowledge in OSHA and other pertinent regulatory compliance standards Language Ability Ability to read and interpret technical communications and blueprints Ability to effectively present information and respond to questions from groups of managers and other internal customers Math Ability Strong math, engineering, blueprint & CAD skills are required to handle complex calculations and problem solving Reasoning Ability Ability to define problems and draw valid conclusions Ability to interpret an extensive variety of technical instructions, blueprints and deal with both abstract and concrete variables Computer Skills

Microsoft Office:
