Position Overview We are seeking a Maintenance Manager to lead maintenance strategies and execution for an industrial manufacturing facility. This role is responsible for driving asset performance, operational reliability, mechanical and electrical maintenance execution, and continuous improvement initiatives across the plant. The Maintenance Manager will lead a team of supervisors, planners, reliability engineers, and technicians to establish a proactive maintenance culture that minimizes unplanned downtime, enhances workplace safety, and optimizes maintenance costs.

What You Will Do Department Leadership:

Direct and oversee all mechanical, electrical, and reliability maintenance activities across the facility to support plant operational goals.

Strategic Reliability:

Develop and implement proactive, preventive, and predictive maintenance programs (PM/PdM) to maximize equipment uptime and asset life cycles.

Safety & Compliance:

Lead and foster a robust safety culture, ensuring full compliance with OSHA standards, environmental regulations, Lockout/Tagout (LTV), arc flash protocols, and internal safety programs.

Team Development:

Mentor, coach, and build high-performing maintenance teams; establish performance goals, training plans, and accountability structures.

Work Management & CMMS:

Oversee the effective use of Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS) for work order planning, scheduling, backlog management, and spare parts inventory management.

Budget & Cost Management:

Develop and manage the site maintenance budget, optimize routine maintenance spending, and contribute to capital expenditure (CapEx) planning. Root Cause Analysis (RCA): Lead root cause failure analysis on critical equipment failures to eliminate recurring operational bottlenecks and system downtime.

Cross-Functional Collaboration:

Partner closely with Operations, Engineering, Quality, and Environmental Health & Safety (EHS) teams to optimize production output and product quality. Who You Are (Basic Qualifications) Five (5) or more years of maintenance leadership or supervisory experience in a heavy industrial manufacturing environment. Proven track record implementing or managing preventive/predictive maintenance systems and continuous improvement practices. Experience managing maintenance department budgets and capital planning processes. Hands-on proficiency with Computerized Maintenance Management Systems (CMMS). Strong working knowledge of mechanical and electrical systems, automation, fluid power (hydraulics/pneumatics), and power distribution. Deep understanding of industrial safety regulations, including OSHA standards, NFPA 70E, and hazardous energy control (Lockout/Tagout). Strong analytical, problem-solving, and Root Cause Analysis (RCA) skills. Proficient in Microsoft Office Suite and data analysis tools. What Will Put You Ahead (Preferred Qualifications) Bachelor's degree in Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering, Industrial Management, or a related technical discipline. Experience leading maintenance teams specifically within wood products, building materials, paper/pulp, or continuous process manufacturing. Certified Maintenance & Reliability Professional (CMRP) or Certified Plant Maintenance Manager (CPMM) credentials. Experience managing large-scale equipment overhauls, major plant turnarounds, and capital installation projects. Demonstrated experience with predictive technologies such as vibration analysis, infrared thermography, oil analysis, and ultrasound testing. Background in Lean Manufacturing, Six Sigma, or TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) methodologies. Pay:

$140,000.00 - $150,000.00 per year
