ARM Group is looking for a Maintenance Supervisor for one of its multinational clients in Charleston, SC #Relocation assistance will be provided SCOPE The Maintenance Supervisor is responsible for safeguarding the health and safety of assigned technicians. This position will be a resource to Maintenance by applying management principles in line with the organization's philosophies. The Maintenance Supervisor will actively promote the achievement of an accident-free workplace and facilitate effective two-way communication between Maintenance, Production, and client management. This position will provide leadership through the supervision of Maintenance technicians.

RESPONSIBILITIES

Adhere to and support compliance with Company and Plant policies, health and safety standards, environmental regulations, hazardous waste, and good housekeeping practices. Provide managerial leadership that fosters environmental & quality awareness. Facilitate positive communication with the entire team on a regular basis by keeping them informed of work area and company changes & conducting meetings. Administer transfers, disciplinary steps, performance reviews and participate in the selection and development of technicians. Evaluates labour allocations and efficiency and suggest changes to improve productivity. Strives to minimize overtime and attendance issues. Assess the technical knowledge and skills of assigned technicians and arranges for additional training as needed to meet the needs of the business. Responsible for identifying the need for special tools or equipment needed to facilitate maintenance activities and working with the other maintenance supervisors to manage the department operating budget. Be familiar with client Preparedness, Prevention, and Contingency Plan and ready to fulfil specific responsibilities assigned in the plan. Evaluate process upsets and or emergencies and make recommendations consistent with minimizing production loss. Coordinate external contractor activities when required to perform assigned work. Supervise the safe, timely and efficient execution of weekly work schedules prepared by the maintenance scheduler. Coordinate activities with Operations accomplish assigned maintenance work. Review all completed work orders for completeness and accuracy. Serve as an On-Call Maintenance Supervisor in rotation with the other maintenance supervisors. Come in as needed to supervise emergency repairs and coordinate maintenance activities with the Operations Shift Supervisor. Education, Skills, and Experience Minimum 5-6 years' experience in maintaining equipment in a heavy industrial environment or equivalent work experience with an emphasis on electrical and machining experience. 2-3 years of supervisory experience Demonstrates initiative, perseverance, and organizational abilities. Experience working with computerized maintenance management systems (CMMS). SAP, Microsoft Excel, Word, PowerPoint experience a plus Leadership behaviors that cultivate performance improvement & purpose in others Ability to collaborate with strong interpersonal and communications skills Ability to manage stress and to work in a complex, multi-tasking environment. Ability to manage priorities and schedules to meet deadlines and targets.

Pay:

$70,000.00 - $85,000.00 per year
