Shop Foreman / Diesel Mechanic D&C Trucking of Chester is seeking an experienced Shop Foreman / Diesel Mechanic to lead the maintenance of our fleet of 30+ late-model tractors and 100+ trailers . This is a hands-on leadership position responsible for overseeing daily shop operations, performing advanced diagnostics and repairs, and ensuring our fleet remains safe, reliable, and road-ready. Responsibilities Lead the maintenance of a fleet of 30+ late-model tractors and 100+ trailers. Oversee daily shop operations and prioritize repairs. Diagnose and repair diesel engines, transmissions, electrical systems, brakes, suspension, HVAC, and aftertreatment systems. Perform advanced diagnostics using Cummins INSITE and Eaton ServiceRanger . Schedule and oversee preventive maintenance to maximize fleet uptime. Maintain accurate maintenance and repair records. Manage shop parts inventory and coordinate parts ordering. Ensure repairs are completed safely, efficiently, and to company standards. Mentor and support shop personnel as needed. Maintain a clean, organized, and safe work environment. Ensure compliance with all DOT, OSHA, and company safety regulations. QualificationsRequired Minimum 5 years of diesel mechanic experience. Experience with Cummins X15 engines. Experience with Eaton automated transmissions . Proficiency with Cummins INSITE diagnostic software. Proficiency with Eaton ServiceRanger diagnostic software. Strong diagnostic and troubleshooting skills. Computer proficiency. Excellent organizational and communication skills. Valid driver's license. Preferred Leadership or shop foreman experience. CDL (preferred but not required). Experience managing fleet maintenance operations.
